About the Role
The purpose of this role is to deliver exceptional customer service in a manner that satisfies both external and internal customers, including delivery and transfer drivers. As a General Assistant in the Building Department at Brights Hardware, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our store, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading customers’ vehicles, delivery trucks, and transfer trucks promptly and accurately
- Ensuring that stock is properly stacked and counted
- Assisting with pulling of stock for transfers
- Reporting stock shortages
- Reporting stock breakages
- Maintaining tidiness and cleaning of area by sweeping and upholding good housekeeping
- Assisting customers with excellent customer service and product knowledge
- Bagging of stone/sand
- Participating in perpetual stocktakes
- Ensuring housekeeping of work area
- Performing any work-related tasks as delegated by your superior
Requirements
- Matric or equivalent
- Completed Intercept courses equating to a total of 120 credits
- 1 Year minimum experience in a similar role
- Brights Induction (service excellence)
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Ability to numerically count stock
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- Be disciplined and motivated
- Ability to handle pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal)
