About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Farm Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Beef Stud Farm in Bethal, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for cattle farming and excellent stockmanship skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage farm day-to-day operations, including pasture management and livestock care
- Implement AI strategies to optimize breeding programs
- Maintain equipment and facilities to ensure optimal working conditions
- Lead and work with a team of farm staff to achieve production goals
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including farmers, veterinarians, and suppliers
Requirements
- Agricultural Diploma/Degree or equivalent advantageous
- Previous Stud and commercial cattle farming experience essential (min 4 years)
- Pasture Management experience
- Strong stockmanship and passion for animals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Computer literate
- Valid drivers license
