About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team in Bloemfontein, responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting with technical support and product repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a friendly and organised customer service environment
- Handle client queries accurately in a professional manner
- Provide telephonic and counter technical support as needed
- Perform mechanical and electronic testing and repair of products
- Ensure all repaired equipment performs to our quality standard
- Log failures for the quality department’s feedback
- Assist with establishing failure trends and suggesting improvements to products
- Design and improve test jigs to enhance service capabilities
- Capture SAP and CRM transactions during service and repair processes
- Assist with ad-hoc duties such as training, updating technical data, exhibitions, site support, and testing new products
- Manage optimal relationships with the client base
- Maintain high levels of neatness and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety standards
- Respond to incoming technical support queries via multiple channels (live chat, calls, Zoho Desk email tickets)
- Ensure timely response to written communication within specified SLAs for each channel
Requirements
- In possession of or studying towards N3/S2 qualification in Electronic or Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering
- Good knowledge and understanding of electronic concepts
- Displays good practical ability
