About the Role
We are seeking an AI Architect / Product Manager (MidSenior Level) to drive the design, development, and delivery of AI-powered solutions in Cape Town. This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, while also taking increasing ownership of product strategy, solution design, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI-driven solutions aligned to business needs
- Translate business requirements into scalable AI architectures and product features
- Define and contribute to product roadmaps, backlogs, and prioritisation
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver AI initiatives
- Work within cloud environments to deploy and scale AI solutions
- Ensure performance, scalability, and security of AI systems
- Monitor product and model performance and drive continuous improvement
- Contribute to solution design decisions and technical direction
- Support and guide junior team members where required
Requirements
- 35 years experience in an AI Architect and/or Product Manager role
- Ability to contribute to solution architecture and design decisions
- Increasing ownership of product strategy and delivery outcomes
- Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to influence decisions
- Ability to balance technical feasibility with business value
- Mentoring or supporting junior team members
- Understanding of trade-offs in AI tools, frameworks, and approaches
- Experience with Generative AI / LLMs
- Exposure to AI product delivery in enterprise environments
- Experience working in consulting or client-facing roles
- Familiarity with AI governance and ethical considerations
Qualifications
NQF Level 6 or higher tertiary qualification in Information Communication Technology (ICT), including (but not limited to) Information Systems.
