About the Role
Hire Resolve, a top-tier recruitment firm, is seeking an experienced Bridge Design Engineer to join their team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic industry that requires innovative and expert bridge design solutions. With a 15-year minimum experience as a Bridge Design Engineer, you will have a significant impact on the world’s physical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead/Manage Bridge team
- Lead or support bid preparations and submissions
- Design Bridge and Civil Works Structural Engineering, including bridge hydrology and hydraulics
- Manage the design process of projects
- Project Management and Quality Control Management as required
- Report writing as required
- Contract administration, including the preparation of contract documentation, specifications and bill of quantities
- Checking of drawings and schedules
- Resource management of the bridge team
Requirements
- 15 years and above as a Bridge Design Engineer
- BSc/BEng Engineering qualification (MSc will be an advantage)
- Professionally Registered with ECSA
- Detailed knowledge of Finite Element Design Software such as Revit/Sofistik/Prokon/AutoCAD
- Experience in design of feature bridges will be an advantage
- Knowledge of SANRAL processes will be an advantage
- Able to lead a design team and work under pressure
- Able to work unsupervised with efficient time management
- Entrepreneurial with high business acumen
Qualifications
- Professionally Registered with ECSA (valid)
- BSc/BEng Engineering qualification (if applicable)
