Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Building Inspector to join our team at a prestigious private hospital in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building inspection, with specific experience in the hospital or healthcare sector.

Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of hospital facilities, buildings, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  2. Code Compliance: Verify that construction, renovation, and maintenance projects adhere to applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and healthcare facility guidelines.
  3. Quality Assurance: Assess the quality of construction workmanship and materials used in hospital facilities and recommend corrective actions as necessary to maintain standards.
  4. Safety Assessment: Identify potential hazards, safety concerns, and deficiencies in building systems, structures, and equipment, and recommend solutions to mitigate risks.
  5. Documentation: Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and hospital staff to address inspection findings, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  7. Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to hospital staff on building code requirements, regulatory compliance, and best practices for maintaining a safe and functional healthcare environment.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Building Inspector, with specific experience in the hospital or healthcare sector required.
  3. Thorough knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards applicable to healthcare facilities.
  4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and assess complex building issues.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  6. Certification as a Building Inspector or similar credentials preferred.
  7. Proficiency in using inspection tools, software, and documentation systems.
