Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support financial operations in a fast-paced environment. Working Hours: 08h30 16h30, Monday to Friday Key Responsibilities: Maintain investment and project systems, fixed asset registers, and inventory. Prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations, VAT and income tax schedules. Assist with month-end closings, financial analysis, statutory returns and audits. Provide backup support to other accountants and handle ad-hoc tasks. Requirements: B.Com in Accounting or a tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance. Minimum 3 years relevant experience. Proficient in MS Office. SAP advantageous. Strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Application Process:

My client is seeking a skilled Assistant Accountant to their team in Paarden Eiland . This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow your career within a forward-thinking organisation. As an Assistant Accountant you will responsible for the following: Manage the administration and maintenance of investment and project systems. Execute settlements and assist with month-end closing processes. Prepare and process journals, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee inventory management and reporting. Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including VAT reconciliations. Assist with the preparation of financial statements, statutory returns, and audit schedules. Provide financial analysis with commentary to support monthly reporting. Support other assistant accountants and handle ad-hoc financial tasks as needed. Job Experience and Skills Required: BCom Accounting (preferred) or National Diploma in Accounting/related qualification. Minimum of 3 years in a similar role. Strong understanding of accounting principles, Income Tax, and VAT legislation. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); SAP experience advantageous. Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to thrive under pressure.

My client is seeking an Assistant Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to make an impact. This role will provide critical support in financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance, ensuring the integrity of financial operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is based in City Bowl, Cape Town. Key Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day administration and maintenance of investment and project systems. Execute settlements for month-end closing. Provide weekly cash flow input for capital and operational projects. Maintain fixed asset registers. Review income and expenses before month-end close. Oversee inventory management and reporting. Prepare valid and accurate journals for the General Ledger. Complete monthly balance sheet and VAT reconciliations. Assist with financial analysis and commentary for monthly reporting. Prepare input schedules for statutory returns (Income Tax and VAT). Support the preparation of financial statements. Compile audit schedules for both internal and external audits. Provide backup support to fellow Assistant Accountants. Carry out ad hoc finance-related tasks as required. Qualifications & Experience: B.Com Accounting preferred. National Diploma in Accounting or related qualification advantageous. Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a similar role. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of Income Tax and VAT legislation. Experience with SAP advantageous
