About the Role
The Boilershop department is seeking a hardworking and reliable individual to join their team as a Boilermaker Team Leader. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fabrication and repair services.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend, oversee and assist with repairs and maintenance of existing components
- Assist Management with coordinating repairs and maintenance tasks onsite or offsite
- Assist Management with ensuring that all team members comply with safe working procedures
- Provide daily feedback on work status to Management
- Submit Cworks requests to ensure quality and planned maintenance
- Support Management in ensuring compliance to timekeeping, productive output, discipline and work programs
- Facilitate logistics of jobs with the goal of reducing standing time, including coordination with other departments
- Monitor quality and efficiency of teams’ work programs and report any issues or possible improvements
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Relevant trade test certificate in Boilermaking/Welding
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Qualified Boilermaker/Welder in a similar environment (Steel and/or Industrial)
- Valid driver’s license
- Extensive knowledge of power tools
- Knowledge and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Rules and regulations

Salary & Benefits
The salary range is not specified. The benefits include provident fund, life cover at 4x annual salary, funeral cover, 15 x paid leave days per annum, and long service leave after five years of employment.
