About the Role
The Data Solutions Analyst III role exists to bridge business strategy and data delivery in Cape Town City Centre. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand data and analytics needs, translate them into robust data warehouse and Lakehouse solutions, and ensure a single, reusable enterprise data foundation that supports multiple use cases from reporting and dashboards to advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, and translate business data and analytics requirements into fit-for-purpose data warehouse and Lakehouse solutions
- Guide enterprise architecture discussions, anticipating current and future data needs with scalability in mind
- Drive consistency in metadata, definitions, and standards across the organisation
- Embed data governance principles into all deliverables
- Lead cross-functional teams from a data perspective, improving collaboration across delivery iterations
- Oversee end-to-end testing, ensuring enterprise-wide validation and sign-off
- Reduce post-production data defects through strategic planning and quality assurance
Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience translating business needs into technical solutions, with deep expertise in data architecture, SQL, data modeling, ETL, and data analysis
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership in delivering high-quality, cloud-based data solutions
- At least 5 years of leadership and mentoring experience, including guiding Communities of Practice, conducting industry research, and promoting continuous learning
