About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Safety Business Partner to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a passionate food safety professional with an entrepreneurial mindset, you will play a crucial role in managing our food safety management system and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. With your proven experience in food technology, agriculture, consumer science, or microbiology, you are well-equipped to drive business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Training clients on food safety best practices
- Conducting consulting audits to identify areas for improvement
- Developing and implementing effective EO building processes
- Interviewing shortlisted candidates for key positions
- Mentoring and training consultants on food safety management systems
- Reviewing client audit reports and conducting QC checks
- Drafting project implementation plans and budget discussions
- Coordinating weekly consultants meetings and preparing quarterly review meeting materials
- Conducting monthly review meetings with HO and quarterly review meetings with the HO
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in a food-related field, such as Food Technology, Agriculture, Consumer Science, or Microbiology
- Proven experience managing a food safety management system
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and food safety management systems
- Accredited in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
- Accredited in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)
- Accredited in Internal Auditing
- Accredited in FSMS (Food Safety Management Systems)
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in a food-related field, such as Food Technology, Agriculture, Consumer Science, or Microbiology
Salary & Benefits
- Basic salary: R35 000 – R40 000 per annum
