About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Power Engineer to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will play a crucial role in designing, analyzing, and optimizing electrical power systems for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, analysis, and optimisation of electrical power systems.
- Assist with engineering work related to low voltage (LV), medium voltage (MV), and high voltage (HV) electrical systems.
- Participate in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment and power infrastructure.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and engineering drawings.
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams during project execution.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and operational phases.
Requirements
- BEng in Electrical Engineering
- 12 years experience working with power systems, including LV, MV, and HV networks
- Exposure to testing and commissioning of electrical systems or power infrastructure
- Understanding of electrical protection systems and power distribution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
