About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Retail Media or Digital Advertising Sales Lead to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a commercially savvy leader with a strong track record in media sales, digital advertising, publisher sales or retail media environments, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, leading high-performing teams and building strategic client partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a team of advertising sales professionals to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire, retain and grow key advertising accounts
- Drive sales performance through effective pipeline management, forecasting and reporting
- Coach and mentor team members to improve client engagement, sales effectiveness and business development skills
- Build and maintain relationships with strategic clients, agencies and brand partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated advertising solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, reporting and operational efficiency
- Support the adoption and growth of innovative advertising products and self-service platforms
- Deliver compelling presentations and commercial proposals to senior stakeholders
- Champion client success, retention and long-term account growth
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field
- 5 years’ experience in digital media, advertising sales, retail media or publisher environments
- Proven success in driving portfolio growth and exceeding commercial targets
- Minimum 2 years’ experience leading and developing sales teams
- Strong understanding of digital advertising, performance marketing and media sales principles
- Experience with CRM systems, forecasting and sales performance management
