Job Description

Youll drive multiple concurrent initiatives, adapt Agile delivery approaches, remove obstacles to progress, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards. Acting as a trusted partner to clients and a mentor to teams, youll champion collaboration, continuous improvement, and measurable business value across every engagement. Key Responsibilities: Project Delivery: Plan and execute multiple concurrent software development projects from initiation to closure Apply and adapt Agile methodologies based on project and organisational needs Remove delivery impediments and drive productivity across distributed teams Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and exceed client expectations Identify, manage, and mitigate risks while overseeing change control and issue resolution Stakeholder & Client Management: Build trusted advisor relationships with clients and key stakeholders Align project delivery with client business goals and expectations Communicate progress, milestones, risks, and challenges transparently Provide guidance on the delivery approach, methodology, and best practices Enable collaboration between internal engineering teams and external customers Team Leadership: Lead and motivate distributed teams across multiple time zones Create psychologically safe, inclusive environments that encourage open communication Mentor team members and support professional development Foster a positive team culture and continuous improvement Balance the team capacity across support, maintenance, and new development Business & Financial Management: Ensure that project outcomes deliver measurable business value and ROI Elicit, document, and manage project requirements effectively Define and track success metrics aligned to business objectives Manage project budgets, monitor expenditure, and meet financial targets Support account growth through strong delivery and relationship management Organisational Contribution: Drive the continuous improvement of project management processes Document lessons learned and establish best practices Stay current with SDLC trends, Agile practices, and project management innovations Maintain project documentation using tools such as Jira, Google Drive, and Pipedrive Job Experience and Skills Required: Minimum 7 years project management experience in software development environments Proven track record managing multiple concurrent projects Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum Master certification advantageous) Experience leading distributed and remote teams Demonstrated budget management and financial control experience Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience Apply now!

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale mining and mineral processing projects within an EPCM environment. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing full project lifecycle delivery and ensuring that all projects meet contractual KPIs, client expectations, and commercial/statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full project lifecycle delivery (feasibility, FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover)
  • Manage project controls: reporting, cost (CAPEX/OPEX), scheduling, trends, and change management (direct and indirect costs)
  • Ensure projects meet contractual KPIs, client expectations, and commercial/statutory compliance
  • Maintain project procedures, systems, and quality standards to ensure consistency and efficiency
  • Drive safety, environmental, community, industrial relations, and quality compliance across sites
  • Coordinate long-lead items, construction schedules, and resource planning
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders
  • Support business development and maintain strong client relationships
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to professional development and succession planning

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 15 years’ experience in mineral processing or related heavy industry
  • 5 years’ EPCM project management experience on large-scale mining projects
  • Proven delivery of greenfield and brownfield projects on time and within budget
  • Experience in open-pit and/or underground mining methods
