About the Role
The Solutions Architect will lead the end-to-end technical architecture and design for a next-generation Student Information System focused on the post-secondary education market. This role exists to translate complex educational requirements into a scalable, secure, and future-ready platform while owning the technical vision and roadmap.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, robust, and secure software solutions tailored to the education sector.
- Create detailed architectural designs and technical specifications for new products and enhancements.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the team throughout the product life cycle.
- Collaborate with product managers and high-stakes clients to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Conduct reviews to ensure adherence to design standards, security protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Stay up to date on emerging technologies in the education technology space to drive innovation.
- Oversee the implementation of architectural solutions and troubleshoot complex technical challenges.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software architecture and product development.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- High proficiency in Java, Angular, or other back-end and front-end technologies.
- Extensive experience in microservices architecture and integration design.
- Deep knowledge of database design, specifically with MySQL.
