About the Role
Hire Resolve, a reputable recruitment agency, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join our client’s team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have experience in demand planning within the food production industry and possess strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on historical sales data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand upcoming promotions, new product launches, and changes in customer demand
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with production and procurement teams to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained
- Analyzes demand data to identify trends and patterns, and make data-driven recommendations for inventory management
- Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and ingredients to meet production demands
- Review and adjust demand forecasts regularly to reflect changes in market conditions and business needs
- Provide regular reports and analysis on demand planning performance and key metrics to senior management
Requirements
- Proven experience in demand planning within the food production industry
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and trends
- Proficiency in demand planning software and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field
