About the Role
Hire Resolve, a reputable recruitment agency, is currently seeking a talented Demand Planner to join our client in the FMCG industry, in Cape Town. As a Demand Planner, you will play a crucial role in analysing sales data and market trends to forecast demand and ensure optimal inventory levels. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective strategies that meet customer demands while minimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze sales data, demand patterns, and consumer behavior
- Assess supply market dynamics, supply capacity, and supply channels
- Develop and implement seasonal procurement plans
- Manage master scheduling and inventory replenishment
- Utilize Blue Yonder forecasting system for demand predictions
- Optimize stock service levels, inventory return, and category profit profiles
- Continuously monitor and report on execution metrics
- Maintain internal and external stakeholder relations
- Leverage stakeholder networks to identify new business opportunities
- Apply digital technologies to enhance business processes, culture, and customer experiences
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of related experience (preferably as a Demand or Merchandise Planner)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Blue Yonder (JDA) Planning is an advantage
- Willingness to work long hours during peak times
