About the Role
Afrigen Biologics & Vaccines is seeking to appoint an Engineering Technician who will play a vital role in supporting engineering operations, maintenance, and calibration programmes across our manufacturing and laboratory environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute installation, maintenance, calibration, and operational support activities for process, laboratory and plant systems.
- Provide technical input and support for engineering projects to ensure delivery on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet operational goals.
- Prepare, review, and manage engineering documentation such as PFDs, P&IDs, SOPs, protocols, and reports in line with GMP and company standards.
- Support equipment commissioning, qualification, and re-qualification activities.
- Coordinate with contractors, service providers, and vendors for maintenance and calibration services.
- Uphold GMP, safety, and compliance standards in all engineering activities.
- Participate in audits and ensure readiness of relevant documentation.
Requirements
- Strong technical expertise with hands-on experience and a track record in problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Quick learner with good communication skills, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and documentation management skills.
Qualifications
- BTech/ National Technical Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
