About the Role

Hire Resolve’s Client, a leading meat products manufacturer based in Cape Town, Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Finance Operations Manager to join their team. With a workforce of 500-1,000 employees, the company serves a wide range of clients in the food production and distribution industry, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the financial operations
Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making
Monitor and optimize cash flow, working capital, and cost management
Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
Ensure timely and accurate financial reconciliations and month-end closures
Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to improve financial efficiency
Implement and enhance financial controls and risk management procedures
Drive process improvements and automation in financial operations
Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies
Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring continuous improvement and professional growth

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CIMA/CA(SA) preferred)
5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations, and cost control strategies
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
