About the Role

Hire Resolve’s Client, a leading meat products manufacturer based in Cape Town, Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Finance Operations Manager to join their team. With a workforce of 500-1,000 employees, the company serves a wide range of clients in the food production and distribution industry, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial operations
  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support strategic decision-making
  • Monitor and optimize cash flow, working capital, and cost management
  • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reconciliations and month-end closures
  • Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to improve financial efficiency
  • Implement and enhance financial controls and risk management procedures
  • Drive process improvements and automation in financial operations
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies
  • Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring continuous improvement and professional growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CIMA/CA(SA) preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing industry
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations, and cost control strategies
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CIMA/CA(SA) preferred)
