About the Role
The Recruitment Pig is seeking a highly skilled Quality Manager to join our team in Gauteng. As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and factory hygiene are maintained across all production lines. You will work closely with our factory staff to implement and enforce strict compliance with FSSC 22000 and HACCP standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily food safety and factory hygiene.
- Enforce strict FSSC 22000 and HACCP compliance standards.
- Conduct internal quality audits on production lines and test raw samples for purity and moisture.
- Train factory staff on critical quality control and updated hygiene procedures.
- Investigate and quickly resolve any customer complaints about product quality.
- Maintain clear and accurate testing records and quality assurance paperwork.
- Check and approve incoming raw materials and packaging deliveries.
- Keep laboratory testing equipment calibrated and working correctly.
Requirements
- A BSc Degree in Food Science / Food Technology OR a National Diploma in Microbiology or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience working in food manufacturing facilities.
- Good knowledge of food safety audits, extraction processing, and bottling.
- Strong communication skills to train staff and lead quality teams successfully.
- Experience with product traceability and batch records.
