About the Role
Hire Resolve’s Client, a leading Beverage Manufacturing Company based in Cape Town, is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to the finance team, contributing to the overall success of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Process invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
- Assist in the maintenance of financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy and completeness
- Assist in the preparation for financial audits and work with auditors as needed
- Help with payroll processing and other accounting tasks as assigned
- Collaborate with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Stay up to date with accounting principles and regulations, as well as industry trends and best practices
- Contribute to the overall success of the finance department and the company as a whole
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 1-2 years of work experience in accounting or a related field
- SAICA Articles completed would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
- Knowledge of GAAP and other financial regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required)
- 1-2 years of work experience in accounting or a related field (required)
- SAICA Articles completed would be advantageous (desirable)
