About the Role

Hire Resolve’s Client, a leading Beverage Manufacturing Company based in Cape Town, is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to the finance team, contributing to the overall success of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Process invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
Assist in the maintenance of financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist in the preparation for financial audits and work with auditors as needed
Help with payroll processing and other accounting tasks as assigned
Collaborate with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Stay up to date with accounting principles and regulations, as well as industry trends and best practices
Contribute to the overall success of the finance department and the company as a whole

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
1-2 years of work experience in accounting or a related field
SAICA Articles completed would be advantageous
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
Knowledge of GAAP and other financial regulations

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (required)
1-2 years of work experience in accounting or a related field (required)
SAICA Articles completed would be advantageous (desirable)
