About the Role
Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a Junior Accountant for a client based in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level accounting professional to gain valuable experience and grow their career in finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Administer payroll and ensure accuracy of employee records
- Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Support the financial analysis and budgeting processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and assignments as needed
Requirements
- Relevant 3 year Bachelors degree qualification in Financial Accounting (General Accounting)
- 3-5 years proven work experience in an accounting/administrative role
- Advanced level of competency in MS Excel software application
- Intermediate level of competency in MS Office email and word applications
- Exposure to Sage Pastel Partner Accounting software application would be an advantage
- Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise important tasks
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a high-performance team
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail required
