About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Planner to join our dynamic construction team in the Cape Town region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring construction programmes throughout the tender and project lifecycle to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and administer detailed construction programmes and schedules for tender and live projects
  • Prepare tender programmes aligned to project scope, timelines, resources and project complexity
  • Monitor project progress, conduct programme updates and track critical path activities
  • Analyse delays, schedule impacts and support the Extension of Time (EOT) and variation claims processes
  • Coordinate with Contracts Managers, Site Teams and stakeholders to ensure accurate project reporting and programme alignment
  • Review resource planning, budgets, timelines and construction methodologies to optimise project delivery
  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships through professional communication and collaboration
  • Identify risks, constraints and opportunities affecting programme performance and recommend corrective actions
  • Produce project reports, programme revisions and progress updates for management review

Requirements

Relevant Tertiary Degree / Diploma

Minimum 10 years technical experience within the construction industry

Strong understanding of construction programming, project sequencing, contracts, scheduling and reporting

Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and construction planning systems

Strong analytical, communication, planning and problem-solving skills
