About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Administrator to join our client’s tax department in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax administration, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex tax issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all tax-related activities within the company, including preparation and filing of tax returns, tax planning, and compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Prepare and review tax calculations, estimates, and projections to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws
- Provide strategic tax planning and advice to senior management to minimize tax liability and optimize tax efficiency
- Conduct research on tax issues and developments to stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities on tax audits and inquiries
- Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Train and mentor junior tax staff on tax regulations and best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; SAIT Practitioner is preferred
- 5+ years of experience in tax administration, preferably in a senior role
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; SAIT Practitioner is preferred
