Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies and initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
- Manage and supervise all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, planning, production scheduling, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, create production plans, and establish inventory control strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor performance.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing carrying costs and obsolescence.
- Coordinate the movement of materials, goods, and services between suppliers, manufacturing facilities, and customers.
- Oversee the transportation and logistics functions to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards throughout the supply chain process.
- Analyze supply chain data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain effectiveness and communicate results to management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in supply chain management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of successful supply chain optimization, cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in supply chain planning techniques, tools, and systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and experience in cross-functional collaboration and team management.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with procurement and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of local regulations, customs, and import/export requirements.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and experience with process improvement projects is a plus.
