Cathcart: Safety Officer (SACPCMP registered) – Temp

About the Role

We are seeking a Safety Officer to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our personnel and assets on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate hazards
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports for submission to management
• Ensure compliance with South African HSE legislation and company policies
• Develop and maintain safety procedures and protocols
• Provide training and guidance to personnel on safety matters
• Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Safety Management / Occupational Health & Safety or similar
• SACPCMP registered
• 5 years of relevant experience in safety management
• Practical experience on construction sites
• Knowledge of South African HSE legislation
• Valid SAMTRAC (or equivalent safety qualification)
• First Aid training (advantage)
