About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our team in Centurion, Gauteng. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex electrical and electronic systems in vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicle electrical and electronic systems
- Fault-find wiring, circuits, sensors, control units, and CAN bus systems
- Install, repair, and test starters, alternators, batteries, and lighting systems
- Diagnose and repair engine management systems, ABS, airbags, and immobilisers
- Use diagnostic tools and scan equipment to identify electrical faults
- Repair wiring looms and replace damaged cables, connectors, and fuses
- Install accessories such as alarms, tracking systems, radios, and cameras
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Conduct electrical inspections and preventative maintenance
Requirements
- Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician (Red Seal / Trade Test preferred)
- Matric – preferred
- 3–5 years’ experience as an Auto Electrician (light, heavy, or both)
- Experience with trucks, buses, or plant equipment (advantage)
- Valid driver’s licence
