Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Proposals Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive technical and commercial proposals for electrical engineering projects. This role requires strong technical knowledge, cost estimation skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to develop winning tender submissions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

– Review and analyse tender documents, RFQs, and client specifications.
– Prepare technical and commercial proposals for electrical engineering projects.
– Develop detailed cost estimates, pricing schedules, and bid documentation.
– Liaise with engineering, procurement, project management, and commercial teams to gather proposal inputs.
– Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate pricing.
– Ensure proposals comply with client requirements, industry standards, and company procedures.
– Identify project risks and recommend value-engineered solutions.
– Participate in tender clarification meetings and client presentations where required.
– Maintain accurate proposal records and bid documentation.
– Support business development activities and contribute to tender-winning strategies.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

– National Diploma, BTech, or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
– Strong understanding of LV/MV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, PLCs, and distribution networks.
– Experience in EPC, construction, industrial, mining, power, or infrastructure projects will be advantageous.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
– Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
– Strong analytical, commercial, and communication skills.
– Valid driver’s licence.
