About the Role
The Coega Project Manager (Structural Engineering) will be responsible for overseeing the execution of structural fabrication works, ensuring seamless coordination across design, procurement, and construction teams, and leading project execution with realistic timelines and achievable milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations for structural fabrication works.
- Coordinate across design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless execution of deliverables.
- Lead project execution with realistic timelines and achievable milestones.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure alignment with project specifications and deadlines.
- Review and interpret structural drawings, fabrication details, and technical documentation.
- Ensure installations meet engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and implement quality assurance protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking reports.
- Identify and implement cost-effective solutions without compromising safety or quality.
- Request supplier quotations and ensure timely ordering of components.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Describe, quantify standard components for structural projects and develop costing sheets and quotation lists.
- Plan and lead fabrication jobs for standard part orders.
- Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies and procedures across all project sites.
- Monitor training records to ensure all personnel are certified and compliant with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and progress reports.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in Project Management within the structural fabrication or engineering sector.
- At least 1 year of experience using Autodesk Inventor Professional (3D) in structural fabrication or engineering.
- Strong understanding of structural systems, fabrication techniques, and installation methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
