About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Centre Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of The Oval Shopping Centre in Durban. As a key member of our Property Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the centre’s success through excellent tenant relations, efficient maintenance, and effective marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily centre inspections and walkabouts
  • Provide administrative support to on-site staff
  • Manage tenant relationships and resolve any issues that arise
  • Maintain a comprehensive maintenance and operations file
  • Monitor and control various aspects of centre management, including keys, security, consumable stocks, parking, house rules, refuse removal, cleaning services, gardening services, air-conditioning equipment, fire safety, and Occupational Health and Safety standards
  • Handle tenant queries and complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Coordinate and manage leasing activities, including sourcing and securing new tenants, negotiating lease renewals, and managing promotions and advertising campaigns

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in centre management or a related field
  • Strong administrative skills and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in local by-laws and community influences

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Relevant Diploma or Degree
