About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support technician to join our team at Umhlanga Rocks. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, as well as performing various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up of computers (hardware and software)
- Installation of computers and networking
- Provide end-user technical desk-side support (installation, configuration, problem identification and resolution) for Microsoft products and all business software
- Equipment movements
- Return of IT stock, dispatching and IT asset management of stock
- Servicing of IT equipment
- Testing and benchmarking
Requirements
- Matric and Completed A and N qualifications
- 1 year’s experience in a Desktop Support or similar IT support role
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
