Durban: Manufacturing Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing production operations, driving productivity, and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily production operations and ensure compliance with quality standards and health & safety legislation
  • Implement continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles to drive operational efficiencies and cost control initiatives
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and production schedules to meet business objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, reduce waste, and increase customer satisfaction
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements
  • Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years experience within a Production or Industrial Manufacturing environment
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Production | Manufacturing | Operations Management | Industrial Engineering | Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience within Adhesives | Chemicals | Plastics | Coatings or related manufacturing environments advantageous
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing principles
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety Legislation
  • Quality Standards and Operational Compliance within a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to drive Productivity | Process Improvement | Operational Efficiencies and Cost Control Initiatives
