Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness in the warehouse and on logistics routes.
- Manage all aspects of inventory control, including receiving, storage, tracking, and replenishment.
- Oversee order fulfillment processes, ensuring accurate and timely picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and manage stock availability.
- Implement and maintain best practices for warehouse layout, organization, and workflow to maximize space utilization and minimize errors.
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities to ensure consistent quality and compliance.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize logistics and transportation processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers.
- Manage and develop a team of warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and coaching.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with vendors, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers to negotiate contracts and manage relationships.
- Prepare and present regular reports on operations metrics, cost savings, and supply chain performance to management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven work experience in operations management, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in using technology and software applications related to operations and logistics.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced environment.
