About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Footwear Buyer to join our team in Durban, KZN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in footwear buying and be able to drive business growth through effective procurement and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Take charge and procure Footwear products within specified parameters whilst adhering to OTB (Open To Buy) / Purchasing Budgets, GP and Markdowns within the business.
- Manage product processes from conception to delivery of order.
- Support the needs of the Footwear Department and functions within the business whilst inspiring innovation and future trends.
- Be proficient across all roles related to the buying department whilst reporting on key areas relating to the business performance.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- Relevant degree / diploma in fashion, textile, production, or procurement
- Ideal 10 years experience in a footwear buying role
- Ability to perform the role independently
- Valid drivers and willing to travel to East London as required
- Strong negotiation skills and target driven
- Good computer literacy including advanced MS Excel skills
