About the Role
Takora is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Durbanville. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

- Design and develop mechanical systems
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME VIII, API, ABS & DNV)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Develop and implement engineering solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering
- 3-6 years of experience in a relatable engineering environment
- Sound understanding of fabrication, boiler making/welding, and precision machining
- Excellent organizational, planning & time management skills
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Teams)
- Advantageous: sound understanding of 3D CAD packages (SolidWorks), FEA Software (SolidWorks Simulation, Abaqus), and Engineering Calculations Software (Mathcad, MATLAB)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
