About Job Role To oversee the smooth and efficient daily operations and sales functions of the company, ensuring service delivery, team coordination, and business development objectives are met. This role ensures that operational projects are executed to standard, client satisfaction is maintained, and growth in the mobile sanitation and waste management sector is achieved through proactive sales and relationship-building efforts. Key Responsibilities > Provide overall leadership and strategic direction to achieve business objectives. > Drive sales growth, revenue generation, and business development initiatives. > Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. > Oversee marketing activities, brand development, and lead generation strategies. > Manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and service excellence. > Monitor and improve operational processes, systems, and performance. > Manage budgets, financial performance, and cost control measures. > Lead, develop, and motivate teams to achieve individual and organisational goals. > Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. > Prepare and present business performance reports, KPIs, and strategic recommendations to management. > Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and continuous improvement across the business. Operations Management Supervise day-to-day operations across logistics, equipment movement, and servicing activities. Monitor vehicle compliance, maintenance, and ensure readiness for dispatch. Allocate staff and resources to ensure timely delivery and servicing per client schedule. Enforce operational SOPs, including route planning, site setup, and waste handling. Conduct daily team briefings and debriefings to review plans, incidents, and follow-ups. Manage and escalate operational risks and disruptions to the Managing Director. Ensure efficient coordination between on-site teams and support staff. Conduct inspections at event sites and long-term placements to monitor compliance. 2. Sales and Client Relationship Management Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across target sectors. Prepare and follow up on quotes, sales orders, and client correspondence. Draft and review contracts, SLAs, and MOUs in line with business development activities. Represent the company in client meetings, site visits, and networking events. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular contact and check-ins. Report on sales activity, pipeline status, client feedback, and quote-to-sale conversion rates. Attend trade expos, industry events and networking functions to generate leads. 3. Team Supervision and Performance Management Assign and monitor daily duties of operational teams and support staff. Track individual and team performance against delivery targets and customer expectations. Conduct mid-term and end-of-contract performance discussions and report outcomes. Address performance issues and support staff development through on-the-job training. Promote a safety-first, accountable culture on and off site. Ensure staff comply with PPE requirements and appearance standards. Keep accurate attendance, leave, and overtime records. Participate in safety briefings or toolbox talks as required 4. Administrative and Compliance Oversight Maintain up-to-date filing systems (digital and physical) for contracts, site logs, permits, etc. Track operational expenses and ensure submission of supporting documents to Finance. Submit accurate sales, operational and fleet reports to management as required. Ensure proper use of fleet cards, logbooks, and checklists for company vehicles. Assist with Health and Safety compliance, including reporting of near misses/incidents. Conduct toolbox talks and promote a compliant and safety-conscious work environment. Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and company policies across all sites. 5. Strategic Input and Problem Solving Provide operational input to budgeting and forecasting discussions. Assist management in identifying operational gaps, customer trends and competitor activity. Resolve client queries, complaints or site issues quickly and professionally. Recommend process improvements to streamline logistics, dispatching or servicing. Collaborate with sales and logistics teams to continuously improve service delivery.
