An industry-leading construction company based in East London requires an experienced Costing Specialist
Job Overview:
Seeking an experienced Costing Specialist to accurately cost jobs, apply mark-ups, and ensure the most cost-effective outcomes. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in job costing and supplier comparison
Key Responsibilities:
- Review job bills and estimate total costs accurately.
- Apply appropriate mark-ups to ensure profitability.
- Source and compare suppliers/quotes to identify the most cost-effective option.
Maintain accurate records of all costings and quotations. - Collaborate with project teams to ensure budgets are adhered to.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in job costing, estimating, or cost specialist roles within the construction industry (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to negotiate and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
