About the Role
We are seeking a Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement and ensure world-class quality in automotive production.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with established quality systems and standards.
- Analyse process and quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer specifications and expectations.
- Support production teams with technical expertise to resolve process-related challenges.
- Maintain and improve documentation in line with quality and operational requirements.
Requirements
In-depth understanding of quality systems and concepts
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and automotive product standards
Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Familiarity with work measurement techniques
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Effective planning and organisational ability
Ability to manage customer relationships professionally
Strong computer literacy (MS Office and relevant engineering software)
Qualifications
National Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (NQF Level 6)
Certificate in Total Quality Management (TQM)

Experience:
- Minimum 2 years quality experience in the automotive industry
- Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience in the automotive sector

- Toolmaking experience will be advantageous
