About the Role
The East Rand Underwriter role at Fusion Personnel offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned underwriter to join our team and contribute their expertise in personal lines underwriting. As an underwriter, you will be responsible for preparing insurance quotations, assessing risks, and managing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare insurance quotations and assess risks
- Determine premiums based on client profiles
- Manage renewals, retentions, cancellations, and policy amendments
- Handle post-loss corrective actions and insurance documentation
- Liaise with clients regarding inventories and policy matters
- Maintain accurate client and policy records
- Build relationships with brokers, clients, insurers, and service providers
- Ensure compliance with underwriting standards and regulations
- Assist the Personal Lines team with daily workload management
- Administer TIG products within client portfolios
Requirements
- Matric (Required)
- 5+ years’ Personal Lines Underwriting experience
- Strong underwriting and risk assessment skills
- Experience working on a Hollard Binder
- Cardinal 360 experience (Essential)
- Knowledge of short-term insurance practices
- Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and within a team
