About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Store Manager / Sales Representative to join our team at Wild Dreams Hospitality’s fast-paced café in Cape Town. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth store operations, excellent customer service, strong team leadership, and consistent brand standards in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency
  • Manage opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food quality, and presentation
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and manage store staff
  • Lead, motivate, and discipline team members where required
  • Conduct performance management and staff development
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels at all times
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and handle customer queries or complaints professionally
  • Build strong relationships with regular customers
  • Uphold a positive, welcoming store atmosphere
  • Manage stock ordering, receiving, and stock control
  • Minimise waste and control costs
  • Assist with cash-ups, daily reporting, and basic financial controls
  • Work within set budgets and operational targets
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required
  • Ensure systems and procedures are followed consistently
  • Communicate effectively with head office and suppliers

Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a café, restaurant, or retail food environment

Proven experience in a store or restaurant management role

Strong leadership and people management skills

Excellent communication and customer service ability

Good organisational and problem-solving skills

Computer literacy (POS systems, email, basic admin)

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
