About the Role
The Eastern Cape: DC Manager is a key leadership position responsible for the end-to-end operational management of a designated Distribution Centre (DC). The successful candidate will ensure efficient receiving, picking, dispatching, stock integrity, and service delivery aligned to productivity, cost, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations within the DC.
- Ensure effective planning and execution of inbound and outbound activities.
- Manage workforce allocation to support demand, volume fluctuations, and service requirements.
- Monitor and optimise picking, put-away, replenishment, dispatch, and loading processes.
- Implement and enforce operational SOPs, compliance standards, and best practices.
Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- 10 years DC experience, with at least 5 years in a Management role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations (Inbound, Outbound, Inventory, Dispatch).
- Experience managing high-volume FMCG, perishables, or grocery operations (advantage).
