Eastern Cape: Excavator Operator posted by Staff Solutions

• Operate excavators equipped with jackhammers to perform demolition and construction tasks.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections using provided checklists and document findings.
• Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure equipment is in safe and efficient working order.
• Gather and sort scrap materials and load them onto tipper trucks for further processing.
• Work closely with site supervisors and team members to achieve daily production and project targets.
• Ensure proper shift handover procedures with incoming Excavator Operators.
• Strictly adhere to company Health and Safety protocols, PPE requirements, and site regulations.
• Follow all internal policies and procedures, including the company’s code of conduct.
• Participate in ongoing training and flexibility initiatives as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation and promptly report any safety or equipment issues to the Team Leader.

Requirements:

• A minimum of a Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Valid Excavator Operator license, including certification to operate a jackhammer-equipped excavator.
• Proven ability to work independently and with high attention to detail.
• Strong attendance, timekeeping, and disciplinary record.
• Willingness and availability to work shifts, standby, and overtime as operationally required.
