About the Role

The University of Fort Hare (UFH) is seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join their team in East London, South Africa. The successful candidate will be working on Applied Management, Administration and Ethical Leadership (Public Affairs & Governance). This fellowship provides an opportunity for a talented researcher to contribute to the development of knowledge in this field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on Applied Management, Administration and Ethical Leadership (Public Affairs & Governance)
  • Develop and submit papers for review on their postdoctoral research topic
  • Publish or have papers in press, with a minimum of 2 units submitted by the end of each renewal year
  • Work collaboratively with the host institution to advance knowledge in the field
  • Demonstrate good progress and be eligible for extension of the fellowship

Requirements

  • Doctorate completed in last five years in Public Administration, Public Affairs/Governance or a related field at a higher education institution in South Africa or abroad
  • Applied knowledge of research administration, data collection, design, good computer skills
  • Experience with statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, etc and qualitative data analysis
