About the Role
Eden is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Knysna. As a key member of the commercial department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate valuation and re-measurement of main contractors’ work on various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate, well-annotated valuation and re-measurement of the complete main contractors’ scope of work on various projects.
- Measurement of all labour-only sub-contractors’ work fortnightly and calculation of their Payment Due Adjudication.
- Preparation and submission of Monthly Valuations (Progress Claims) for the Main Contractors’ work on contractual due dates.
- Evaluation of nominated and domestic Sub-contractors’ progress claims prior to submission to the PQS.
- Preparation and presentation of monthly Cost Reports to Management.
- Liaising with and assisting CIC Buyer in measuring, preparing, and submitting Bills of Quantity in CANDY QTO.
- Load projects from CANDY and export resources to Build Smart Integration.
Requirements
- Higher Diploma / National Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Proficient in CANDY CCS (Construction Computer Software).
- Extensive experience in up-market residential construction.
- Knowledge of JBCC Building Contract Agreement and general contract terms and conditions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player.
- Meticulous and systematic approach to work.
Qualifications
- Completed Higher Diploma / National Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying
