About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sports & Leisure Centre Manager to join a luxury hotel in George, Western Cape. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional to take the lead in delivering exceptional leisure experiences within a luxury hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute engaging, innovative activities for guests and members to drive participation and revenue
- Plan and implement vibrant seasonal and festive programmes tailored to a diverse clientele
- Lead marketing and communication efforts to promote leisure activities and maximise visibility
- Ensure all leisure facilities meet health, safety, and quality standards
- Oversee the daily operations of the Sports & Leisure Centre and Kids Club
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure financial goals are met
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high-performing team
- Deliver consistently high levels of guest satisfaction through exceptional service
- Handle guest feedback and complaints in coordination with Guest Relations and monitor feedback platforms (e.g. Medallia, TripAdvisor)
- Coordinate specialist childcare services where required (including babysitting and care for special needs)
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a 5-star hotel, resort gym, or sports/golf club in a supervisory or managerial capacity
- Strong knowledge of various leisure and sporting activities (e.g. children’s programming, golf, tennis, cycling, hiking)
- Understanding of local and national health and safety regulations
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent (required)
- Diploma in Sports or Club Management (advantageous)
