About the Role
Masterparts is an automotive parts supplier founded in 1975 with branches in Namibia and South Africa. We are looking for a Stores Person (Warehouse Worker) at our Masterparts Durban branch at 369 Umgeni Road to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Offloading stock from containers, trucks and vans
- Checking goods received
- Moving bulk inventory and packing stock away
- Picking of stock
- Checking picked and packed stock
- Packing freight parcels
- General Housekeeping of the Warehouse (Cleaning and Tidying)
- Doing periodical stock counts
- Security of warehouse
- Ad Hoc Duties as required
Requirements
- Accuracy with stock numbers
- Good health
- Ability to do physically demanding work, especially lifting and carrying heavy stock items and spending long hours standing or walking
Qualifications
- Prior knowledge and experience in the automotive aftermarket is advantageous
- Product knowledge of automotive aftermarket spares is advantageous
- Experience in a medium to large warehouse is advantageous
- General mechanical/technical knowledge is advantageous
- Computer Literacy is advantageous
- Valid forklift license is advantageous
- Health and Safety, First Aid, and Firefighting certifications are advantageous
