About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and service-driven Duty Manager for a luxury wine estate in the heart of Franschhoek. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for guest service and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced luxury environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the property during assigned shifts
- Ensure exceptional guest service standards are maintained at all times
- Act as the main point of contact for guest queries, requests and concerns
- Support and supervise front-of-house operations and guest-facing departments
- Assist with staff management, training and performance monitoring
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure presentation and service standards are upheld
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Assist with arrivals, departures and VIP guest hosting
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and company policies
- Coordinate effectively with all departments to ensure smooth operations
- Complete daily reports and administrative duties as required
Requirements
Previous experience as a Duty Manager or in a similar supervisory role within luxury hospitality
Strong guest relations and customer service skills
Excellent leadership and team management abilities
Professional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
Computer literacy and experience with hospitality systems
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays

Salary: R20,000 – R23,000 per month DOE
