About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager for a luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with strong leadership abilities and a passion for fine dining service to take full responsibility for the smooth running of a high-end restaurant operation within a prestigious estate environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure seamless service delivery
• Lead, train and motivate front-of-house staff
• Maintain high standards of service, presentation and guest satisfaction
• Manage reservations, seating plans and guest flow
• Handle guest queries, feedback and complaints professionally
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards
• Monitor stock levels, ordering and cost control
• Assist with menu planning input and coordination with kitchen teams
• Conduct staff scheduling, training and performance management
• Drive a strong guest-centric and service-driven culture
• Ensure accurate cash-ups, reporting and administrative duties
Requirements
Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or Senior Supervisor within a luxury or fine dining environment. Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent guest relations and communication abilities. Solid understanding of food and beverage operations. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems.
Salary & Benefits
R18,000 – R20,000 per month DOE
