About the Role
The Financial Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of our organisation, supporting informed decision-making, and driving business growth through accurate financial reporting and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (Management accounts, AFS and taxation)
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate reconciliations
- Process and review journal entries, accruals, and provisions
- Perform bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations
- Monitor and manage accounts payable and receivable functions
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
- Analyse variances between actual and budgeted results
- Provide insights and recommendations to management
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, income tax)
- Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors
- Maintain and improve internal financial controls
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CIMA/SAICA qualification required
- 5 years relevant experience in a financial accounting role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, automated integration, and advanced functions

- Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CIMA/SAICA qualification)
