Job Description
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Agriculture, or a related field
- Minimum of 4–5 years practical, field-based agronomy experience
- Proven experience working with row crops (maize, wheat, soybeans)
- Strong understanding of soil science and plant nutrition
- Experience interpreting soil and plant tissue analyses and making practical recommendations
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively

- Strong technical agronomic knowledge
- Ability to translate complex data into practical, on-farm recommendations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Strong organisational and planning ability
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Agronomic Support
- Provide technical agronomic support to sales representatives through regular on-farm visits (3–4 days per week)
- Deliver expert advice on crop nutrition and fertilisation strategies
- Interpret soil and plant tissue analysis results and develop tailored fertilisation programmes
- Diagnose crop issues, including nutrient deficiencies and environmental stress factors
Training and Technical Development
- Support the sales team with product knowledge and crop-specific training
- Assist in upskilling Technical Sales Representatives on agronomic best practices
- Ensure technical alignment between product positioning and on-farm application
Field Trials and Demonstrations
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of field trials and demonstrations
- Evaluate trial results and provide recommendations based on findings
- Support the positioning of products through practical, evidence-based results
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, distributors, and internal teams
- Provide ongoing technical support to customers to improve crop performance
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients on soil health and crop nutrition
Territory and Market Support
- Work across a diverse crop portfolio, including row crops (maize, wheat, soybeans) and high-value crops (fruits and vegetables)
- Stay informed on regional farming practices, seasonal trends, and agronomic developments
- Provide insights to support commercial strategy and product positioning
Reporting and Administration
- Document field visits, trial results, and agronomic recommendations
- Provide feedback to internal teams on product performance and market needs
- Support data-driven decision-making through accurate reporting
