About the Role

Anchora is seeking a skilled Billing Coordinator to join their team in Gauteng. As a key member of the finance operations team, you will play a crucial role in supporting client billing and finance operations across a multi-state home care environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Medicaid, insurance, and private-pay home care billing
  • Verify insurance eligibility, authorizations, and approved service hours before claim submission or billing follow-up
  • Review caregiver timesheets, EVV records, and service documentation for billing accuracy
  • Resolve denied claims, unpaid claims, and billing discrepancies promptly
  • Maintain accurate client billing, payment, AR, and follow-up records in Smartsheet and internal systems
  • Coordinate billing issues with internal staff, caregivers, clients as needed, and insurance companies
  • Support billing authorizations and AR review to ensure payer requirements, approved service hours, and required documentation are aligned

Requirements

  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work remotely Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm EST
  • Organized, process-driven, and comfortable following step-by-step workflows
  • Proactive, self-dependent, accountable, and motivated
  • Home care billing, Medicaid, insurance, or AR experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Experience with HHA Exchange, Availity, Waystar, Smartsheet, Excel, and payer portals preferred
  • Comfortable communicating with insurance companies and internal staff by phone, email, Teams, and other channels
  • Problem-solving mindset
