Scope of Works:
Fire protection plans (code prescriptive)
Rational fire designs
Evacuation planning, design and simulation
Smoke ventilation simulation and design
Fire and smoke detection and alarm design
Fire water (fire hose reel and fire hydrant) system design
Fire water storage and pumping system design
Automatic sprinkler system design
Gas and aerosol suppression system design
High velocity, medium velocity and foam suppression system design
Fire audits
Application of SANS, BS, FM, CIBSE, NFPA, ASIB, and IBC codes and standards
Calculations, simulations and CFD which can include the following software; FHC, Pathfinder, and Pyrosim

Scope of Services:
Conceptual Design & Viability Studies:
− Conceptual designs
− Concept Comparisons
− Cost estimates
Detail Design:
− Design calculations and Simulations
− Design development
− Outline specifications
Tender and Procurement:
− Detailed specifications
− Tender documentation
− Bills of quantities
− Tender evaluation
Construction Management:
− Construction documentation
− Contract instructions
− Financial cost control
− Ongoing estimates
− Payment valuations
− Quality assurance inspections
− Quality control documentation
− Commissioning verification
Project Close-out:
− Conclude final account
− Review hand-over documentation
− Works and Final completion defects lists

Projects include: 
Commercial Offices
Leisure and Convention centres
Hotels and Embasies
Healthcare and Education Facilities 
Telecom and Data centres
Industrial, Warehouses, Places of Worship

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
BSc or BEng in Mechanical Engineering 
Registered as Candidate Engineer with ECSA 
1-3 years consulting engineering / contracting experience in building services
Knowledge of Rational Fire Design

Remuneration: 
Market related package with benefits offered – negotiable depending on qualifications and experience
