Job Description
As the Head of Group Reporting, you will lead the Group Reporting & Insights function, a central team responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation’s financial narrative to executive management, the Board, investors, and other key stakeholders.
This role places you at the forefront of financial storytelling, partnering closely with Finance, Actuarial, Treasury, and Investor Relations to ensure accurate, insightful, and impactful reporting.
You will take full ownership of the Group’s reporting landscape, including financial results, market announcements, and the integrated reporting suite, while driving continuous improvement in systems, controls, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of Group financial results, including executive-level presentations
- Ensure best-in-class internal and external reporting with a focus on accuracy, insight, and transparency
- Oversee the full integrated reporting suite, including annual, governance, and remuneration reports
- Drive monthly and quarterly performance reporting for Exco and Board decision-making
- Take ownership of SENS announcements, AGM deliverables, and investor-related outputs
- Collaborate with Investor Relations on market-facing initiatives such as capital markets days and strategy sessions
- Build, mentor, and elevate a high-performing reporting team
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes and ensure full compliance with JSE and statutory requirements
Qualifications:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Risk, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification in Risk, Governance, Auditing, or Business.
- Additional certifications in Insurance, Data Analytics, or IT Audit.
- Professional certification: CIA, CA(SA), CISA, CFE, or equivalent.
Experience:
- 10 – 15 years’ experience, ideally within financial services and a listed environment
- Strong track record in external reporting and financial results delivery
- Exposure to senior stakeholders including Exco, Board, and Investor Relations
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a high-performance, deadline-driven environment
